Raymond Lindsay 1904 - 1960, Australian Oil on board, 44cm x 33.5cm
Born in New South Wales, Raymond was the son of Norman Lindsay. He studied at the Julian Ashton School in Sydney and he became known for his historical works and paintings of pirates. This work depicts a partially dressed beautiful young woman reclining on a bed. Housed in an attractive gilt art deco stile frame depicting leopards and Grecian columns joined by garlands.
